![]() It has sheer- light coverage with a dewy moist essence like finish. It has a neutral tone that leans slightly peachy. This essence foundation only comes in one shade and luckily it was suitable for me. This is another foundation that my mother in law gave me. The full size is finished now so I’ll be discarding it, however I also have a mini version that I want to keep for travelling.Įlensilia Escargot Original Repair Essence Foundation SPF50+/PA+++ I did actually like the foundation but I would get a shade darker in future if I were to get this again. It’s a shade lighter than what I usually wear as 21 is her shade but still the pinky peachy undertone wasn’t too bad with a light to medium coverage that gave me a dewy glow finish and made my skin look quite healthy and alive. ![]() My mother in law gave me this cushion foundation few years ago. I’ll be keeping 1W to use in the winter when my skin tone is a tad paler, and as for the little sample tubes / bottles, I’ve mixed them all into an empty cushion foundation along with others which I’ll tell you about later in this post.ĭPC Pink Aura Cushion SPF 50+/PA+++ Shade #21 Pink Beige + Mini Version I listened to the staff and purchased 1W in full size but then ended up not using it for my wedding makeup because even thought the finish and coverage was lovely, I was scared the lighter colour would show too pale in photos. ![]() I also tried mixing 2W + 2N, 2N + 1W, and 2W + 1W, and each of those combinations produced a better colour match so I could have purchased 2 shades and mixed them but the Dior counter staff told me to just go for 1W and use a bronzer over it in specific areas. Still 2W wasn’t suitable as there was an obvious colour difference between my face and neck (my neck and body is paler) so I tried 1W which is a good match for my neck but half a shade too light for my face. I then tested out 2W which even though was the wrong undertone, it made me look like I had a bit of a summer holiday tanned glow. I have a true neutral undertone so was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t find a good match in the ‘N’ shade numbers. 3N was way too dark for my skin tone, 2.5N was wearable but still slightly dark and 2N was leaning more pink and ashy rather than neutral. I wanted this foundation for my wedding so in search for the best colour match I got samples of shades 2N, 2.5N, 2W and 3N and also tried 1W in store. The only problem I have with it is the shade rage. It has a soft satin like finish and gives a nice healthy glow to the skin. It has medium thickness than blends smoothly giving a medium buildable coverage and sits beautifully on the skin without accentuating pores or dry areas. ![]() The Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation is one of my favourite high end foundations. Foundationsĭior Forever Skin Glow Foundation 1W (Full Size) & 2N, 2.5N, 2W, 3N (Samples) First I’ll go through what I have and then sort them into discard, continue testing and keep categories. I also have a few foundations that are either on their last legs or recently finished so I want to write about them too before discarding. It seems that most of my foundations and concealers at the moment aren’t perfect shade matches for me, either slightly darker or lighter than my skin tone so I’ve mixed some together to get a better shade so that I don’t just throw away unused expensive products. ![]() I have quite a small collection of foundations and concealers (including samples) at the moment but I thought I’ll still go through them and see how I can further downsize what I have. ![]()
